The 5 seater Urbania caravan for rent in Coimbatore is a 16 seater body converted to carry five passengers, with the driver up front. It is the first luxury caravan of its kind on rent in South India, and the only vehicle in our fleet quoted per trip rather than at a fixed day rate, driver included.
That conversion is the whole point. Eleven seats came out and nothing was made smaller, so five people get the floor space that sixteen were sharing. The 7 seater exists to move six people and their luggage. This 5 seater Force Urbania exists so five people can stretch out, stand up and use a washroom on the way.
That list is what most people are after when they ask for a luxury Urbania rental. The washroom is the part that actually decides it. On a long ghat road with a family in the back, nobody is waiting for the next halfway decent stop.
Families travelling with elderly parents or a small child take it because the break happens inside the vehicle instead of at a roadside stop. Wedding parties book it so the couple arrives without four hours of travel showing. Film and photo shoots hire it as a changing room and rest space on location, which is a large share of what it goes out for.
It also works for a few executives on a day of outstation meetings, where the cabin becomes somewhere to work between stops.
Airport pickup and drop is the short version of the same idea. A group landing at Coimbatore or Kochi airport off a long flight gets a fully air conditioned cabin and a seat that goes back, rather than forty minutes sitting upright in a car. Wedding parties use it this way for guests arriving the day before.
The caravan is based in Coimbatore and most of what it does is outstation work. Inside Tamil Nadu that is mostly Ooty and Kodaikanal, with a Valparai run now and then. Kerala takes longer. Munnar and Kochi are the common ones, plus the Sabarimala route in season, and we build a night halt into those.
Because there is nothing else like it running in the south yet, we take bookings from groups outside Coimbatore. If you are starting from Chennai, Madurai or Kochi and cannot find a caravan to hire closer, we will bring it to you and run the trip from there.
Ask early either way. There is one vehicle in Tamil Nadu doing this and it goes out for days at a time, so the calendar decides more than anything else does.
There is no standard per day figure for this one. A three day Kerala run prices differently from a single day out inside the district, so we work out each booking on the route and how many nights the vehicle is away.

Every booking comes with a driver. We do not offer self drive on the Urbania.
The standard Urbania runs from the 7 seater up through the 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 and 17 seater, at ₹5,000 to ₹6,000 per day plus ₹25 per km. Those carry more people, but the seats are fixed and there is no washroom on board.
