Choosing the right one
For a low budget 7 seater car in Coimbatore, book the Ertiga. It works out at roughly ₹317 per passenger for the day before distance, seats six with the driver up front, and is easy to park at temples and in town. Pick it for a family day out or a short outstation run where the luggage is light.
For a long drive with seven people, the standard Innova gives the best value. It costs ₹400 more a day than the Ertiga and seats one extra passenger, and over a three day trip to Kodaikanal that legroom matters more than the fare. The Innova Crysta is the same idea with plusher seats and a quieter cabin. The Hycross is the newest of the three, a hybrid with the smoothest ride in our fleet, and a good fit for collecting a client from the airport.
The Fortuner is a different kind of car. It is a full SUV with high ground clearance, booked for weddings and VIP guests more than for luggage. At ₹45 per km it is the most expensive to run on this page, so it makes most sense for short runs between venues rather than long tours.

Every 7 seater car we rent out is a T board vehicle, the yellow number plate that marks a car registered to carry paying passengers. Under Section 66 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, a vehicle can only be used to carry passengers for hire under a permit.
A white board private car hired out as a taxi has no such permit. That is the car that runs into trouble at a check post on the way to Kerala or Karnataka. With a yellow board 7 seater, the permit for the state you are entering is paid at the border and the trip carries on. You can check any vehicle's registration on the government's Parivahan portal.
Before you book
With all seven seats in use, the space behind the third row is small. The Innova Crysta has about 300 litres of boot with every row up, which is roughly two medium suitcases plus a few soft bags. The Ertiga has less.
If everyone is carrying a suitcase, you have two choices. Travel five in the car with the third row folded flat, which opens up the full boot. Or take the 7 seater Urbania, which carries six people and all their bags without folding anything. Tell us your luggage when you call and we will say which works.

Car or van
The Force Urbania 7 seater is a van, not a car. It carries six passengers, the same as the Ertiga, but with a high roof and far more luggage space. It costs ₹5,000 a day plus ₹25 per km. Take it when six people each have a suitcase, or when an elderly passenger would struggle to climb into an SUV.
If you are moving more than seven people, the Urbania range goes up to 17 seats and the tempo traveller is the budget option for larger groups.

Past a couple of hours on the road, the Innova family earns its fare. The Hycross is the quietest of them on a long highway day, so it is the one to pick for 7 seater hire to Bengaluru or Chennai (about 505 km). Munnar, Kochi and Bengaluru cross a state border, so that state's permit is added to the fare. Closer to home, we also run wedding and function transport and corporate pickups across the city.
